关于 the Exploring Economic Freedom Project

The primary mission of the Exploring Economic Freedom Project is to provide a forum where interdisciplinary discussions take place on issues broadly discussed in academic, 知识, and public policy circles. Its objective is to enhance the educational experience of our students and to educate the general public about the role of economic and political freedom in promoting entrepreneurship, 经济增长, 繁荣与和平.

The program is hosted at Metropolitan State University of 丹佛 and organized by project director Dr. 亚历山大·帕迪拉. He  has published several academic on insider trading in the Quarterly Journal of Austrian 经济学, 法律评论 & 经济学, Florida State Business Review, 法律杂志, 经济学, 和政策, other non-academic essays. His current research looks at the effects of immigration on institutions. His most recent article published in Public Choice examines the impact of immigration in the United States on the economic institutions that contributed to US 经济增长 and prosperity.

The Exploring Economic Freedom Project is generously funded by the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation. The Exploring Economic Freedom Project sponsors the Exploring Economic Freedom Lecture Series where eminent scholars are invited to talk about topics related to economic and political freedom. It also sponsors and co-sponsors reading colloquia where students are invited to discuss readings around a topic related to economic and political freedom from an inter-disciplinary perspective whether it be immigration, 社会变革, 民粹主义, 贫困, 收入不平等, 等.

The Director of the Exploring Economic Freedom Project is Dr. 亚历山大·帕迪拉 (website: www.alexandrepadilla.com). Dr. 亚历山大·帕迪拉 is an Associate Professor of 经济学. 他得了B.S., M.A., and Doctorate in 经济学 from the University Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III in France. Dr. 亚历山大·帕迪拉 joined the 经济学 faculty in 2002 first as a visiting instructor and then as tenure-track faculty in 2004. Dr. 帕迪拉 was awarded tenure and promotion in Spring 2010.
